2024 COMPETITION CLOSED
The next competition for awards will open in early 2025

The Fulbright Canada - Maple Leaf Foundation Community Action Program* provides grants (up to $8000) to both Fulbright Canada alumni and current grant recipients who seek to engage in community action in their host or home community in a way that promotes volunteerism and engagement.  Projects can take place in Canada or the United States.

Applicants must be alumni or current participants of a Fulbright Canada program such as the Canada-U.S. Fulbright program, the Killam Fellowships Program, the Young Indigenous Leaders Program, and the post-COVID Challenge Program Finalists. Please note, current grantees are welcome to submit a proposal for projects in their host community.

All proposals are evaluated by a committee.  Please note that applications requesting funding for salaries, stipends, or any other form of compensation will be deemed ineligible.
