Award Provisions for American Students

 

C$5,000 Cash Prize (per semester)

C$500 Health Insurance Allowance

Fall Orientation in Ottawa (Please consult the Activities Section)

Spring Seminar in Washington (Please consult the  Activities Section)

$800 US  Mobility Grant * (Can only apply while on your Killam exchange)

$5,000 for a  Killam Community Action Initiative Grant * (Can apply while on your exchange, or after as a Killam alumni)

$5,000 or $15,000 for the  Fulbright Canada Alumni Internship Program * (Can apply after your exchange as a Killam alumni)

* In addition to the $5,000 US per semester cash prize ($10,000 for a full academic year), and the $500 US allowance for health insurance costs, all Fellows are eligible to apply for a mobility grant, a Killam Community Action Initiative grant, and the Fulbright Canada Alumni Internship Program. Grantees can also participate in our Local Ambassador Prorgam that matches current grantees with Killam alumni.

Each September, the Foundation for Educational Exchange between Canada and the United States of America hosts the incoming class of Killam Fellows for a fall Orientation in Ottawa, and a spring seminar in Washington, DC.
